Our History

On March 15, 1968, with just 17 members, the Republican Women of Williamson County (RWWC) was created. The Club is chartered by the Tennessee Federation of Republican Women (TFRW) and the National Federation of Republican Women (NFRW).

Along with its political education and volunteer activities, the RWWC has regularly contributed to county libraries and collected food for needy families (for distribution through Graceworks Ministries, Inc.). We have adopted nursing homes to assist in filling the needs of patients and provided clothing, food, and other needs for families of soldiers serving in the military.

More than a decade ago, the RWWC launched the annual Elé Awards to recognize the accomplishments of RWWC members and fellow Republicans county-wide.

Our Mission

As Republican women, we strive to increase the effectiveness of women in the cause of good government through political participation and foster loyalty to the Republican Party. To preserve our freedom, we will encourage and promote a well-informed electorate through political education and the election of the Republican Party's nominees.
